London, United Kingdom - DAACI, a pioneer in AI compositional solutions, has formed a strategic partnership with Spitfire Audio, a global leader in virtual instruments and sample libraries. This collaboration will revolutionise the music creation landscape, offering music makers of all skill levels exciting new ways to bring their creative visions to life.

Spitfire Audio creates forward-thinking sample libraries and virtual instruments, while DAACI develops world-leading assistive AI tools for music creators. At the core of the alliance are shared values and a commitment to supporting artists and composers. Built and founded by composers, both Spitfire Audio and DAACI have built their reputations on artist-centric approaches to product development, supported by collaborations with leading musicians and producers.

The partnership has already gained pace as Spitfire samples are now available within the DAACI Natural Drums plugin, an assistive AI co-pilot plugin that creates drum grooves in real time, as if a session drummer is right there with you in your studio bringing your ideas to life.

Natural Drums is part of the DAACI Natural Series, a comprehensive product portfolio of plugins, music tools and editing technology that has evolved from DAACI’s development of patented AI and musician-led core technologies. The plugin is created by expert drummers and draws on their many years of experience playing music in live settings. In line with DAACI’s approach to generative AI and unlike other drum sequencers, Natural Drums doesn’t pull from a list of static precomposed patterns or utilise pure randomness. It thinks like a musician and rapidly creates beats that are entirely bespoke and unique to you. Spitfire Audio samples are included in the plugin, providing creators with access to iconic samples that instantly bring their work to life.

Two thirds (63%) of young creatives say they embrace AI to assist in the creative process of music making according to Youth Music, and a survey published by Ditto in 2023 shares that 60% of independent musicians are using AI within their music projects. With this industry awareness in mind, Spitfire Audio is embracing AI for the first time and chose DAACI as the ideal partner, as DAACI’s patented technology is the only one of its kind offering an artist-centred and human first approach to assistive solutions.

Both companies have outlined plans for further initiatives that will leverage DAACI technology to bring Spitfire sounds to life in innovative ways. The collaboration will see integrations of DAACI's cutting-edge generative technology and Spitfire's renowned virtual instruments and sample libraries. The synergy between Spitfire's iconic sounds and DAACI's AI tools will offer music makers unprecedented creative possibilities, regardless of their skill level.

Rachel Lyske, CEO of DAACI, says,

In this era of AI and music creation the vital factors are control, compensation and consent. Both Spitfire Audio and DAACI have been built with these values at our core, and we focus on quality, creating the best solutions in the world. We respect every stage of the creative process, from the wonderful musicians responsible for the samples we hear, to the experience and knowledge of the composers, producers and music creators that use them. Spitfire Audio and DAACI put quality and control in the hands of every professional, every student, every creative and every musician. We believe in creating a world-leading collaborative ecosystem where AI is not a replacement for humans, rather it’s a powerful tool if utilised in the right way. This is the beginning of an exciting journey together, based on collaboration and creativity, and I can’t wait to hear the music people will make.

Olivier Robert Murphy, CEO of Spitfire Audio, says,

The partnership with DAACI signifies a pivotal moment for us as we expand our commitment to support composers, musicians and creatives in pushing the boundaries of music creation through innovative, collaborative and ethically developed AI tools and solutions. Spitfire Audio has always set the industry standard by paying royalties on every sample library sale to the exceptional musicians we collaborate with, so choosing an AI partner that shares our values was essential to us.

Philip Walsh, Co-Founder of DAACI Holdings Ltd, comments,

We are truly excited by this partnership which launches the first of our generative music prosumer tools. This combination of Spitfires’s incredible library of sounds and DAACI’s AI music tools gives content creators instant access to a whole new skill set for making music. There are many more tools scheduled for launch in the coming months, which, when combined will create the ultimate AI music co-pilot, allowing anyone, anywhere and at any point on their musical journey, to create amazing music for videos, film, advertising and more. DAACI’s ultimate goal is to show how AI in music can be used extremely effectively to amplify, whilst at the same time protecting, rights holders content. Our work across the whole DAACI ethical AI ecosystem, from solutions that enable major labels and publishers to allow their music to be adapted more widely, to generative innovations for industry world leaders, is supported by the strength and quality of our partners, and we welcome Spitfire to the journey.
